Internship Visa in Spain

An internship visa allows the holder to stay in Spain for more than three months for educational purposes. If you are from European Union member countries, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland, you are exempted from obtaining a visa for this purpose. General requirements for this type of visa are:

  • 2 passport-sized photos
  • Valid passport and ID card with proof of residency
  • Acceptance letter from the company
  • Complete internship description and responsibilities
  • Company information (complete name, contact details, address, etc.)
  • Printed itinerary and accommodation details
  • Proof of funds. Prepare bank statements from 3 months minimum
  • Prepare a notarized note from and bank statements of your parents to support your funding capability by showing that your parents can and will give you a monthly allowance
  • Health insurance
  • Medical certificate
  • Official transcripts (prepare this document if you are applying for an unpaid internship visa to serve as proof that your internship is related to your field of study)
  • Copies of your documents
  • Fully accomplished application form
