Internship Visa in United States

Should you desire to do your internship in the US, you are required to secure a visa. The US has an Intern Program which allows foreign college and university students or those who have just graduated to come to the US, gain exposure to U.S culture, and to have an experience on the country’s business practices. Prior to pursuing an internship in the US, you are to secure a J-1 Visa. This type of visa is nonimmigrant and allows individuals to participate in exchange visitor programs in the United States.   • DS 2019 Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor Status, this will be provided to you by a program sponsor
  • A Training / Internship Placement Plan (Form DS-7002)
  • Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (Form DS-160), complete the online visa application and print out the application form confirmation page to bring to your interview
  • A photo to upload your online application form with specifications found in this link
  • A valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and expiration date at least 6 months from the date of departure in the US
  • Application Fee Payment receipt

 

How To Apply:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Wait for the date of your interview.
  3. Attend the interview and submit additional documents should it be required.
  4. Wait for the notification of your visa approval/denial.
