Work Visas in United States

A citizen of a foreign country is required to secure a visa to work in the US. Once you’ve found an employer who would petition you to work in the United States, you are to apply for the nonimmigrant Temporary Worker Visa. This type of visa is for people who would like to work in the US with an employment with a lasting fixed period of time and is not permanent or indefinite. This type  of visa has several categories which you may check in this link to identify what type of visa best suits you. The following documents may be asked of you:

  • A USCIS approved Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker (Form I-129)
  • Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (Form DS-160), complete the online visa application and print out the application form confirmation page to bring to your interview
  • A photo to upload your online application form with specifications found in this link
  • A valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and expiration date at least 6 months from the date of departure in the US
  • Application Fee Payment receipt
  • Receipt number for your approved petition as it appears on your Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker

 

How To Apply:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Wait for the date of your interview.
  3. Attend the interview and submit additional documents should it be required.
  4. Wait for the notification of your visa approval/denial.
