Details
The ifo Institute, Dresden Branch, announces the 15th ifo Dresden Workshop on Regional Economics. The workshop aims at facilitating the networking of young scientists and at promoting the exchange of their latest research. Relevant topics might include regional structural change, mobility, development economics, economic history, and public economics. Preference is given to empirical papers estimating causal inferences in a spatial context, natural experiments, or recent geo-data and respective methods.
We encourage PhD students and early-stage post-doctoral researchers to submit their research. Each paper will be allocated 45 minutes, to be divided between the presentation, a short discussion by an assigned workshop participant and a general discussion.
We are pleased to announce that Andreas Lichter, professor of economics at TU Dortmund with a research focus on public, urban, international, and labour economics, will attend the workshop as keynote speaker.
