Overview
The International Solidarity Forum (ISF) is WYA’s annual global training event for members. The forum brings together young people from around the world for workshops and discussion with experts on pressing issues relevant to international policy debates. The ISF includes UN-style negotiations to train members in language drafting and negotiation, culminating in a Declaration on the topic of the International Solidarity Forum each year.
Details
The 2025 International Solidarity Forum will be on Gender Ideology.
World Youth Alliance is grounded in the respect for the human dignity of every person, which is the foundation for human rights. Respecting it means also acknowledging the truth about the person and the realities that define the human being.
Gender ideology states that sex and gender are not synonyms or interchangeable concepts and further claims that these notions describe two different realities. In other words, gender ideology separates sex from gender. The idea that a person not only can but should autonomously define their gender, aside from the “sex assigned at birth” poses biological and scientific problems, in addition to philosophical and moral considerations. The 22nd International Solidarity Forum will discuss the history of gender ideology, and engage in conversation and debate with experts from scientific, philosophical, and political backgrounds to understand the cultural and political present.
The International Solidarity Forum is open to all members. However, admission preference will be given to individuals who have completed the Certified Training Program (CTP) and/or the Advocacy Academy.
