Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build applications for the android platform
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
  • Integration of user-facing elements developed with server side logic
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Description of Ideal Candidate

Skills/Experience:

  • Computer Science degree, Information Technology or another proven software developer any relevant major graduates with some/no prior industry experience are also considered or
  • Mathematics, Physics or Statistics degree with software development experience

At best:

  • 0 -1  years of experience building android mobile and/or web products including submitting of previous approved products in android market
  • Expertise in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from Concept and Design to Testing
  • Hands-on experience from Agile/Scrum development process and code reviews
  • Strong understanding and experience with the core principles of software craftsmanship
  • Experience in transforming business requirements into flexible, robust software architecture
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK (Software Development Kit) on different screen sizes, (different mobile and tablet sizes) 
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practice
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization
