The insurance line of business is dedicated to developing innovative insurance and adaptation solutions in response to climate change. We specialize in parametric insurance, which provides rapid and transparent payouts based on predefined triggers, such as temperature thresholds, wind speeds, or rainfall levels. This approach allows businesses, governments, and agricultural stakeholders to better manage climate risks and financial volatility.
Missions:
As an intern within the EMEA Underwriting team, you will contribute to the structuring and pricing of parametric insurance products requested by brokers. These products cover a range of risks, including for example: Energy covers, Agricultural risk solutions, Tropical Cyclone protection and Weather Derivatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Risk Analysis: Analysing historical climate events to assess risk levels and return periods
-
Model Enhancement: Collaborating with the Pricing team to improve existing models and methodologies for parametric insurance underwriting
-
Portfolio Analysis and Performance Assessment: Analyze conversion rate to better address brokers’ requests.
