AXA IM Alts global Responsible Investment team is in charge of supporting the integration of the Responsible Investment (RI) strategy in all our activities. It is composed of experienced, multicultural, multi disciplinary and passionate individuals, based in London, Paris, Bruxelles and Frankfurt. It relies on a network of local ESG leads in its key regions to provide insight and guidance to asset management teams in delivering on internal KPIs and ESG related targets set out by the business.
The main responsibilities of the role
ESG data plays a central role in delivering our ESG strategy, by providing investment teams the information required to take strategic decisions and assess their impact and efficiency. With a global portfolio, it is essential that AXA IM operates under a shared understanding of ESG definitions and data reporting criteria.
A key focus has been given to the data over the past years, with a strong acceleration in the development of ESG dedicated tools and methodology. The aim is now to fully embed such data in company tools, but also to strengthen our ability to analyse trends and refine methodologies. Hence, the global Responsible Investment team is looking for an intern to support the ESG data, collect, monitoring, management and reporting of the real asset portfolio.
The intern will contribute to supporting the RI team in ESG data collect and management processes which aim at monitoring asset/portfolio performance, measuring progress against ESG targets and KPIs, preparing voluntary ESG reporting (e.g. GRESB, entity ESG reports…) and complying with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. Taxonomy, SFDR, Article 29, Décret Tertiaire, …).
He or she will participate in the management of tools, solutions and production of standard documentation to help with portfolio ESG risk analysis & management, ESG performance assessment,benchmarking and impact assessment.
2025 annual data collect preparation
- Strong interaction with key stakeholders (ESG leads, Asset Managers, investment teams…) to ensure proper coordination (training, help center, etc.)
- Data control and analysis to ensure its relevance, quality , timeliness and completeness.
- ESG data platform maintenance, improvement and coordination
- Data consolidation, KPI monitoring and reporting preparation
Data automation
- Support the coordination of our data automation project, which aims at creating data connection to ensure it is automatically collected in our ESG data management platform
- Support local teams in finding the information and solutions to accelerate the process
Performance monitoring & reporting integration
- Assist in the identification and implementation of functional requirements for ESG reporting (Client, Regulatory and Non-Regulatory)
- Monitor data integration project and bring information required to the data team
- Provide ad hoc support the deployment of new data management platform for CRE Debt and infrastructure
- Support the continued development of dashboard and analytics withinTableau to ensure increasing ownership of ESG data by the operational teams (Asset Management, Fund Management, Client…)
Physical Climate Risk tool rollout
- Support the Physical Climate risk tool deployment
- Conduct results analysis for the real estate portfolio
- Assist in the development of internal methodologies and process updates
GRESB reporting result analysis and 2026 preparation
The intern will bring support regarding the GRESB reporting process for real estate and infrastructure investments:
- Help reviewing results and identify area for improvement, especially for infrastructure’s first reporting
- Anticipate expected change in the reporting and how to adjust current process to embed such requirements
Innovative solution research
- Assistance in the organization of the internal innovation forum
- Perform market research on innovative solutions which could be relevant for our real estate and infrastructure investments
The intern will also be involved in the sustainability day to day tasks, such as:
- Market research and ad-hoc research in ESG related topics such as embodied carbon, biodiversity preservation, natural capital, green energy, engagement and real asset solutions.
- ESG research to enhance our real estate and infrastructure platforms’ ESG integration frameworks
- Market watch, peer reviews and regulatory monitoring (EU taxonomy, TNFD, SFDR…) and gap/ impact analysis.
- Investment teams, sales group and fund management’s support in producing investor’s ESG due diligence questionnaires and reportings.
- Research and assistance in developing thought leadership topics

Profile
Education/Qualifications
- Postgraduate studies in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy Management Finance, Management, Engineering, or related field
- A focus on real assets ( Real Estate or Infrastructure investing) is favourable
Experience
- Previous experience in responsible investment or real assets and a desire to pursue a career in sustainable investing are a strong plus
- Previous experience with Deepki is considered a contributing factor
Competencies
- Accomplished interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and efficiently in a team within an international and fast moving environment
- Autonomous, initiative, entrepreneurial and result driven culture
- Strong analytical and synthesis capacity
- A comprehensive skill set in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

- Any other European language is considered a plus
- Superior skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience on the use of tableau is considered a strong plus
- Experience and/or familiarity with greenhouse gas emissions and other ESG-related reporting requirements is also a plus.
