Details
RoW is one of the largest commercial regions in the International Zone, playing a crucial role in Arla’s global strategy, generating close to EUR 700 million in revenue. RoW has a local presence with six subsidiaries or joint ventures in Australia, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Norway, Poland, and Spain; and a Distributor Sales division, based in Copenhagen, focusing on LATAM, Eastern and Central Europe, Indian Ocean, and Central and Southern Africa. Central functions such as Strategy & Business Development, Finance, HR, Sustainability, and Marketing are located in Copenhagen.
How will you make an impact
RoW’s Strategy & Business Development function operates within a matrix organization, providing exposure to both RoW’s commercial organization and Arla’s wider Strategy & Business Development community. This community is composed of ambitious, high-caliber individuals with backgrounds from top-tier management consulting firms (BCG, Bain & Company, Implement, Strategy&, EYP, and Accenture) and leading FMCG companies.
As an Intern, you will join RoW’s Strategy & Business Development function and play a key role in advancing our strategic agenda. You will support RoW’s leadership team with a wide range of high-impact responsibilities, including:
- Supporting delivery of critical strategic projects such as M&A opportunity assessments, due diligences, market attractiveness studies, and growth opportunity evaluations across our brands, categories and markets.
- Driving impact through executive support for our SVP, Head of Strategy, and the leadership team with the annual wheel, workshops and presentations to SVP, EVP and other senior stakeholders.
- Supporting the implementation of RoW’s strategic projects, including the formulation of governance set-up, KPIs, processes, and progress follow ups.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to work on strategic projects with high impact on RoW’s business, providing ample development opportunities similar to those in the management consulting industry.

What will make you successful?
You are pursuing a university-level degree (bachelor’s or master’s) in business, economics, finance, or a related field, consistently ranking among the top of your class. Previous experience in strategy and business development or with other FMCG companies is considered an advantage but not a pre-requisite. Your competencies include:
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills: Ability to break down complex problems, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and develop insights to support strategic decision-making. An ideal candidate has experience in working with excel and can formulate basic formulas.
- Well-rounded communication & presentation skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both verbally, and in writing, including PowerPoint.
- Structured & critical thinking: Ability to approach challenges with logical, structured thinking and offer innovative solutions that address both immediate and long-term business needs.
- Curiosity & eagerness to learn: Have a strong interest in strategy, business development and a natural curiosity to expand your knowledge and skillset.
