Overview

The ARTBOUND INITIATIVE (ABI) internship program connects students with established artists and arts organizations in New York City and Berlin. ABI will help you secure your perfect internship and coordinate all logistics (including housing, internship visas, insurance, and more). ABI is uniquely positioned to provide you with access into the art world – a market that is notoriously insular and difficult to penetrate. With our expansive network of artists and arts organizations, we can help you find an internship that will best fit your career goals. Join our program to become part of an international community of artists and art professionals.

Details

More than just an internship program, ABI seeks to:

  • Connect students and emerging artists with arts organizations

  • Coordinate all logistics (visa, housing, insurance, and more)

  • Provide access to an international network of alumni

Our goal is to help participants experience the city from an insider's perspective. We provide participants with city guides, organized events based on their interests (artist studio visits, curated gallery tours, theater shows) to help them make the most of their internship experience.

We recognize the importance of building early a professional network in the career and the personal path of participants. That is why ARTBOUND INITIATIVE is dedicated to assisting the emerging artists and art professionals in making the right connections.

WHAT TYPES OF INTERNSHIPS DO WE OFFER?

Studio Art (for painters, photographers, ceramists, printmakers, sculptors), Communications, Marketing, Social Media, Producing, Exhibitions and Curation, Public Relations, Arts Administration, Special Events, Public Programs, Education, Graphic and Web Design, Development, and more.
