As a part of the BASF Global Digital Trainee Program, you will receive full support from day one to make meaningful contributions to our team. You will have the opportunity to help us on exciting projects that allow you to bring your creativity, passion, and pioneering spirit to our global teams. We will pair you with our best mentors and coaches, ensuring your professional growth and development.
Additionally, as part of the program, you will have the chance to participate in an all-expense paid international stint in Germany, which will further enhance your network and intercultural skills.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
- A comprehensive 18-month program based in the Digital Hub Madrid. This includes a 6-month internship period to learn and a 12-month training contract to kick-start your career.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of unit-specific and cross-unit tasks.
- Four rotations, each approximately five months long, in at least three different teams to give you exposure to different parts of digitalization.
- An all-expense paid rotation in Germany, helping you expand your network and further develop your intercultural skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for committed interns/trainees who want to gain knowledge and develop professional skills. We value candidates who set challenging goals for themselves, and approach opportunities with an open mind.
We are looking for someone that:
- is finishing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics). However, other disciplines are also welcomed.
- has knowledge in project management and an active involvement in extra-curricular activities of any kind.
- has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- brings a positive learning spirit and a growth mindset.
Nice to have knowledge (but not necessary):
- Interest in creating the best digital customer experience in the chemical industry.
- Eager to learn about the different digital products in the area of digital commerce and advisory.
- Support the product teams to establish B2C-like online buying experience via state-of-the-art commerce channels like webshops.
- Interest in taking over tasks of a consultant, developer or service engineer.
- Support the teams in ensuring continuity for established solutions.
- Experience in and passion for trending technologies like (Gen)AI
