Overview

We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the team of Sales Development & Volume Planning for the MINI brand. We deal with innovative business areas, examine new trends in the automotive sector and develop them independently through to final implementation together with the markets.

What awaits you?

  • As part of your work, you will support our team in the development and implementation of concepts to sustainably lead the MINI brand into the future, e.g. in the area of electrification.

  • In addition, you will accompany analyzes and recommendations for action at a national and international level, communicate worldwide with our contacts in the sales companies and actively work on the design of new processes.

  • Furthermore, you will support in steering monthly production, wholesale and retail planning for MINI together with regions and various BMW Group planning departments.

  • You will prepare ongoing opportunity and risk analysis based on market development and competitive environment as well as regulatory (incl. homologation) and external conditions (customs, duties, etc.).

  • Preparing presentation documents for board and management meetings with reference to current sales situation and performance as well as organizing / documenting various MINI internal management meetings complete your profile.

Description of Ideal Candidate

What should you bring along? 

  • Completed basic bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in economics, industrial engineering or comparable field.
  • Affinity to the automotive industry, incl. comprehensive knowledge of the automotive market, market segments and competitors.
  • Initial practical experience in sales and marketing and in project management is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in creating management / board presentations.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • Conceptional and analytical thinking skills and affinity for data and figures.
