Overview

You will be assisting the senior lawyers of the Legal Department to provide legal support to the Front Office and its support teams / departments. You will report to the Legal Wealth Management Team Leader.

Your next challenge:

  • Prepare legal advice with regard to Wealth Management activities (concerning mainly insurance, lending, civil, commercial, corporate and investor protection law aspects)
  • Advise BIL Group on its duties and responsibilities in respect of these activities, in particular in relation to general banking, bank insurance, cross border, credit structuring / implementation and MIFID related regulatory aspects
  • Draft, review, negotiate any types of agreements in relation with the referred activities
  • Contribute to BIL group projects by giving the best legal recommendations
  • Actively participate in the legal and regulatory developments within BIL group including the launch of new products in coordination with other departments (compliance, risks, product development, IT…)
  • Provide support to the Head of Legal and team members on various matters

Description of Ideal Candidate

Your skills: 

  • University degree in law (BAC+5) , CCDL is an asset 
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg law and/or its surrounding countries’ banking, legal and regulatory environment is a strong asset
  • Excellent organization and coordination skills, combining attention to detail and an efficient overview of key questions and priorities
  • Fluency in English and French is mandatory. Any other language is a strong asset
  • Team player
  • Flexible, polyvalent and able to work on various legal subjects
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated
