During our 18-month Data Science Graduate Program, you will

Get to know different jobs and Bertelsmann divisions, such as RTL Group, Penguin Random House, Arvato Group or BMG
Learn from renowned data scientists, analysts, and explore new use cases for machine learning and AI
Constantly train yourself and hone your data skills within a business context
Add your knowledge and experience to at least three major data projects
Leverage new data sources and integrate traditional structured data with raw data

Description of Ideal Candidate

What you should bring to be a Data Science Future Leader?

At Bertelsmann, the overall picture of your profile, not just your degree determines your fit to the program. However, you should meet these qualifications:

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related topics
Experience working with data science (via internships, research projects, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of machine learning methods, database concepts, prompting and generative AI
Solid coding skills in Python and SQL and good experience using GitHub required; R, Scala, Spark, and other programming languages are a plus
Problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills
Fluency in English is required, competency in relevant local languages such as German or Spanish is a plus
