Overview

Bridges For Peace: Christians supporting Israel and building relationships between Christians and Jews in Israel and around the world. It is our desire to see Christians and Jews working side by side for better understanding and a more secure Israel. Founded in 1976, Bridges for Peace seeks to be a ministry of hope and reconciliation. Through programs both in Israel and worldwide, we are giving Christians the opportunity to actively express their biblical responsibility before God to be faithful to Israel and the Jewish community.

Positions Currently Available:

Administrative Assistant(s) – Openings in several departments with critical needs for administrative support—interfacing with volunteers, national offices around the world or the local Israeli community. Looking for people with administrative and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite helpful.

Long-term—minimum one year

Custodian — Volunteer with a servant’s heart to do custodial work at BFP headquarters. Position also includes light watering of the garden and relief receptionist duties. Patience and flexibility helpful.

Long-term—minimum one year

IT Support Technician — Provides technical support, training and direction to staff; installs, tests and resolves problems with computer hardware and software; adapts existing software to accommodate needs of departments; develops and maintains connectivity; and performs other duties as required.

Graphic Designer — Creative skills in graphic design and desktop publishing with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop experience preferred. Ability to maintain fast-paced deadline schedule to produce quality books, periodicals and advertising.

Journalist — Journalist works in news department, writing both hard and soft news stories for publication on our website as well as feature stories for the Dispatch from Jerusalem. English proficiency required; familiarity with MicroSoft Word helpful.

Videographer — Looking for someone with experience in all aspects of video production and still photography. Will play an integral role in telling the BFP story by producing videos that show the impact Bridges for Peace is making in the Land.

Description of Ideal Candidate

A Volunteer with Bridges for Peace must:

  • Have a servant's heart.

  • Be a committed Christian

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Be able to speak and communicate in English.

  • Be in good health. See the FAQ for more information on health requirements.

  • Have the recommendation of your family, pastor, and others in the community.

  • Have funds prepared to cover your food, lodging and other monthly expenses as well as round-trip airfare to and from Israel.

  • Have medical insurance that is valid outside your country in case of accident, injury or illness in Israel. (An expatriate insurance policy can be purchased in Israel through Bridges for Peace. More information is available upon request).

  • Realize that during your term of service with BFP, you are not coming on a tour or a vacation, but to serve in a vital and needed staff position.

  • Recognize that you are seen by the outside world as a volunteer with Bridges for peace, so the future of our work in Israel depends upon your Christian character and faithfulness.

  • Your national office may require a processing fee of $35 US (or the equivalent in your country's currency). Contact your national office for more information.
