Internship - Procurement Technology, Sustainability & Operations

In the Procurement Technology, Sustainability & Operations team, we are providing the foundation for an efficient and effective execution of strategic and operational procurement processes.

Procurement Technology is about ensuring that we have the right tools and processes for driving value out of our supply chains through spend and contract management, e-sourcing and other novel platforms seeking to leverage new opportunities.

Sustainable Procurement is responsible for evaluating our supplier base from an ESG perspective and ensuring that sustainability is part of our strategic decision making. Furthermore, Sustainable Procurement is responsible for Scope 3 GHG accounting and driving our supply base towards renewable energy usage.

Procurement Operations is responsible for supporting our fleet of RoRo and RoPax vessels with purchasing the goods and services they need, ensuring the usage of existing contracts, making the best deals in the most efficient way.

Depending on your area of interest and our needs, you’ll be involved in projects that will give you in-depth and hands-on experience in technology, sustainability and operations. Throughout your journey with us, you’ll get opportunity to grow and make a difference for procurement and the stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities could involve:

  • Investigate new procurement technologies and platforms e.g. AI
  • Initiate dialogue with suppliers regarding ESG initiatives
  • Work on automating business processes and establishing supplier integrations
  • Change management activities
  • Business improvement projects and coordination
  • Support to Category Manager and Sourcing Manager in e-sourcing and e-auction strategy
