Details

Would you like to join a digital journey where you can make a difference for the business every day? Are you motivated by programming, and would you like to act as the crucial link between trading and the rest of the organisation? Then grab this opportunity to become our new trading operational analyst!

Here’s what the job entails

As a Trading Operational Analyst, your primary role will be to develop and maintain numerous business tools, acting as the glue that holds the trading teams and the rest of the organisation together.

Concretely, your responsibilities will include:

  • develop business tools, automated solutions and Python-based applications for trading teams
  • innovate existing tools and processes to enhance scalability and efficiency
  • strengthen programming practices and improve the developer experience within the team
  • lead and manage cross-functional projects and support trading teams with ad hoc tasks and problem-solving
  • maintain frequent communication with both internal stakeholders and external counterparties and exchanges

In your daily work, you will work side-by-side with our power traders and portfolio managers. The programming in this role will mainly be in Python and SQL, and you will work with short timeframes from idea to execution as you will be sitting right next to your stakeholders.

In the long run, you will have the possibility to join the daily shifts in the team to gain a unique understanding of the operational work. In the team, we have daily shifts from 07:00-14:00 and 14:00-20:15, and outside these hours, we have a 24/7 emergency phone to support the trading teams. The role gives you the opportunity to join the shift setup, but it will not be a requirement.

Meet the team

As our new trading operational analyst, you will join our Power Trading Operations & Systems team, where our primary role is to provide daily support to our power trading teams as well as contribute to business development. You will participate in a collaborative, team-focused environment where your ideas and contributions are valued. We are a team of operational experts with in-depth system knowledge, supporting the digital transformation of power trading at Danske Commodities.

We enjoy balancing our workdays with fun activities in our spare time. This includes getting together for sports activities, dinners, board games – and everything in between. We are a team of young and innovative people who take pride in motivating, supporting and challenging each other. Our team comprises both student and full-time employees which fosters a dynamic team spirit characterised by openness, positivity and collaboration.
