Who we are

Tracing its origins to 1585, Deutsche Börse Group has become one of the world’s leading exchange organisations and an innovative market infrastructure provider. In this role, we provide investors, financial institutions and companies access to global capital markets. What’s your part in all this? With your commitment you contribute to the success of our unique business model: offering a wide range of products, services and technologies for security, transparency and integrity on the markets. By creating trust in the markets of today and tomorrow we foster growth and contribute to the prosperity of future generations.

Your area of work:

As part of the CEO division, you will support up to three teams that act as a competence center for Deutsche Börse Group's central decision-making bodies and work closely with each other:

  • Group Strategy develops Deutsche Börse Group's strategy and pursues its implementation in projects
  • Group M&A is responsible for the identification and implementation of M&A projects
  • Group Venture Portfolio Management / DB1 Ventures is responsible for venture investments in start-ups (new investments and portfolio management)

As an intern (f/m/d), you will gain insights into the activities of one or even several of these teams. You state your preferences in the application process. Depending on your skills profile and requirements, we will then plan your areas of work during the application process. This gives you the opportunity to gain an impression of exciting areas of work in our company, gain valuable cross-departmental experience and combine university theory with practice.

Your responsibilities:

Depending on your area of work, your responsibilities could include the following tasks:

  • You will prepare decision documents for the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse Group
  • You will analyze competitor activities and key market trends and support the teams in managing the group-wide strategy process and executing strategic projects
  • You support the financial modeling and valuation of potential deal opportunities using value and multiple-based valuation methods
  • You will participate in ongoing transactions, analyze and evaluate potential investment targets and assist in the preparation of investment proposals/presentations for DBAG's management and support the team in performing specific tasks as part of the due diligence process
  • You will also research and evaluate selected markets in detail and assess them for attractive investment opportunities
  • You will support portfolio management and evaluate and maintain the venture pipeline and deal flow database as well as all operational documentation
