Your tasks and responsibilities

Your role extends to providing crucial support during due diligence processes for new investments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of opportunities. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our venture capital initiatives forward. Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Due Diligence: Assess the technological feasibility and scalability of potential investments, leveraging your scientific knowledge to evaluate technical risks and opportunities. Apply your scientific expertise to analyze and assess the viability of business plans and models, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of potential investments.

  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize your analytical skills to analyze large datasets, create financial models, and conduct scenario analyses to support investment decision-making.

  • Due Diligence Support: Collaborate with the team to support due diligence processes for new investments, bringing your scientific perspective to the evaluation of opportunities.

  • Industry Analysis: Dive deep into specific industries or sectors relevant to our investment focus, providing comprehensive insights into market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and growth potential.

  • Independent Research: Conduct thorough and independent research on emerging technologies, market trends, competition, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decision making.

  • Networking and Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, industry experts, and academic researchers, to expand our network and uncover new investment opportunities.

Your qualifications

  • You are currently in your third semester (or higher) of a science-related degree (e.g. mathematics, engineering, computer science, physics, medicine and biology).
  • You have a strong interest in, or initial experience of, entrepreneurship, start-ups, management consultancy or financial services.
  • You have a feel for complex issues and can drive projects forward independently
  • You are a strong communicator, quick on the uptake and a structured, analytical thinker.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written German and English (at least C1).
