Digital Grassroots is a youth network developed to proactively engage youth in addressing internet problems at a grassroots level. Digital Grassroots fosters community engagement in Internet Governance through a global youth network thereby encouraging Internet innovation, reducing digital inequalities between genders and rural-urban disparities, and giving youth, the digital natives, control of the future we want—our digital future and that of future generations. Digital Grassroots applies the principles of working open and leading open. Our distributed model of leadership allows us to create pathways for grassroots communities to interact with our work and create global networks through application of open internet principles. We work online and are a diverse team open to contributors who uphold values of an open, inclusive and healthy internet.

How it works

  • STEP 1 Gain clarity of our scope of work
  • STEP 2 Identify your time commitments i.e. 5 – 9 hours per week
  • STEP 3 Apply for preferred volunteer role within the time frame
