Our Floater group consists of two departments, covering Marine & Hydrodynamics and Structural Design & Analysis. Together, our dedicated engineers are responsible for the design development and engineering of a wide range of floating steel structures, spanning from early studies to detailed design and construction phases.
We are now seeking students interested in a summer internship to join our passionate Floater group at Fornebu!
What will you be doing?
As a summer intern, you will have the opportunity to be part of a strong team of 30 engineers with a long track-record of offshore floating structure. We develop concepts for floating offshore wind turbines, offshore fish farming and floating production units for the oil & gas industry.
You may take part in:
- Participate in concept, study and FEED projects
- Participate in internal development projects
- Perform structural (FEM) analyses (typical software is DNV SESAM package, ABAQUS)
- Perform hydrodynamic analyses (typical software is Orcaflex, Python)
- Be part of the design development of global and local hull structures
- Collaborate with other disciplines

We think you should have:
- Be enrolled in a master’s degree program in structural engineering / naval architecture or similar
- Have an innovative and creative approach to problem solving
- Have a team spirit attitude, but at the same time be able to work individually and take responsibility for your own tasks
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
