The position

Working with Trading, Analysis and Low Carbon means being part of a dynamic business area that bridges the gap between energy production and end-consumers. Our market-facing teams play a crucial role in delivering Equinor's strategy. As a commercial graduate you will have the opportunity to rotate through diverse roles, which include:

  • Supporting trading activities through analysis, risk management, and contractual support.
  • Engaging in low carbon solutions (LCS) projects, such as carbon capture and storage, and the transition to hydrogen.
  • Contributing to new market development, such as carbon offset and low-carbon footprint certification.
  • Conducting global fundamental and macro-economic analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Engaging in pre- or post-trade support activities, including contract management, risk analysis, and modelling.

Working with Trading, Analysis and Low Carbon you get a wide range of opportunities, and the listed responsibilities are not exhaustive. Your experience may vary based on your specific role and interests within the department.

During the two-year program, you can expect to be involved in project evaluation and development, perform analytical work related to commodities or macro-level analysis, engage in external communications, and manage regulatory relationships. You

For this position we are looking for those with:

  • Bachelor’s, master’s degree or PhD with good academic record within a scientific, mathematical, engineering, or economic field but we are more interested in the skills you have rather than the subject you study.
  • Completed degree within year of starting (2025) 
  • Fluent in English 
  • No more than three years of relevant fulltime work experience 
  • Formal experience is not a requirement   
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
