The European Union Intellectual property Office (EUIPO) is committed to the future and offers valuable learning opportunities for young people at the start of their careers. Our traineeships give young graduates and professionals a chance to sample work at EUIPO and be part of a multicultural team.

Unpaid Traineeships
This traineeship programme is intended for university graduates who, in the course of their studies or in some other manner, have already gained some initial experience in the areas of work of the Office.
The traineeship period shall last for a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months.
Candidates should send their applications via email to traineeships@euipo.europa.eu enclosing the following
- CV and motivation letter in any of the 5 working languages of the EUIPO, indicating the field of expertise they are interested in and their desired dates for the unpaid traineeship within the above-mentioned time limits
- degree or diploma(s)
- certificates of previous professional experience, if available.
Successful candidates will be selected on the basis of their CV and motivation letter, qualifications, language skills, any previous professional or academic experience, and the successful completion of at least 1 of the free online EUIPO Academy Learning Portal courses, with the relevant certificate.
Preference will be given to candidates who need to work as a legal clerk before being able to practise as a fully qualified lawyer.

Description of Ideal Candidate
It is open to young professionals from both EU Member States and non EU countries:
- Who have completed successfully at least the first cycle of a higher education course certified by an official document from the University before the selection procedure starts.;
- with a working knowledge of one of EUIPO's five working languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish), equivalent to level B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- and who preferably have a good knowledge of another official EU language.
