Dreaming of what it’s like to work in Tech Investment Banking? Future Stars is for you. The Future Stars one-week programme consists of a range of items which include global sessions, training, and project work. The hours of the programme are 8.30am-6pm daily. The agenda will consist of a broad range of sessions including insights and training from all business lines (e.g. Events, Marketing, Investment Teams), external Guest Speakers, Founders, external Guest Speakers, Entrepreneurs and CEOs, work shadowing sessions and project work.

GP Bullhound - Future Stars is a week-long work experience programme taking place between 7-11th April 2025. The programme will be delivered across 4 of our global offices in Berlin, London, Manchester and Paris. It provides 20 university students or recently graduated students that have a passion for finance and technology with the chance to be inspired about what it’s really like to work at an investment bank in the cut and thrust of the technology sector.

Students will thrive in a highly collaborative environment with some of the best minds in finance, and get an insight in to what is happening at the cutting edge of a sector.

Here’s what students can expect:

  • Introduction to Investment Banking and the range of services GP Bullhound provides;
  • Undertake a research project to be presented to the GP Bullhound partnership;
  • Learn about the unique career opportunities the industry presents;
  • Gain insight into the day-to-day lives of our Advisory and Investment teams;
  • Briefings and training sessions from GP Bullhound senior Dealmakers;
  • Hear from guest speakers from GP Bullhound’s network of entrepreneurs; and
  • An opportunity to secure a six-month internship.

The Future Stars application process will close on Thursday 2nd January 2025.

Job requirements

  • Candidates must have a desire to explore a career in the investment banking industry, and have a passion for tech
  • We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals who are highly numerate, ambitious and adaptable
  • Candidates must be fluent in business English and in the regional language of the location they are applying for
  • Candidates must have a valid work visa for the location they are applying for

What are the requirements for entry to the programme?

The entrance requirements are that you need to be available 7 – 11 April 2025 which is when the programme will be taking place. Finally, we require applicants to have valid visas for their selected location for the programme. 

Do I need to have a relevant degree?

No specific degree is required for this programme. We welcome applicants from a broad range of disciplines. The programme is suited to individuals with a passion for technology and a strong desire to explore a career in investment banking.

Will I get paid?

Future Stars is an unpaid programme.

Do you offer any financial assistance throughout the programme?

Successful candidates will be eligible for a daily expenses limit which can be put towards travel and accommodation costs. We carefully consider every application on an individual basis. If you have any specific request, please contact futurestars@gpbullhound.com, and our team will do their best to accommodate it.

Do you offer Internships at the end of the programme?

Yes, we have offered internships to previous Future Stars cohorts and so, there will be opportunities for successful candidates to secure a 6-month internship at the end of the programme.
