Overview

The Global Entrepreneurship Summer School (GESS) is a seven-day program where 140 university students come together in Munich, Querétaro (Mexico), Shanghai and Cape Town to develop entrepreneurial solutions that meet the world’s biggest challenges. In the spirit of promoting “billion euro projects to take climate action”, we work on the UN Sustainable Development Goals aiming to empower students to become young responsible leaders who create positive change in our society.

Drive change through a global community: Join the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School 2025 and unlock the transformative potential of AI-powered social innovation!

Harvest the power of human talent and AI to take climate action.

Imagine combining human creativity with AI tools to design solutions that can reshape our world. You’ll learn how to leverage artificial intelligence not as a distant technology, but as a dynamic partner in solving real-world problems. From designing impact business models to analyzing complex environmental challenges, you’ll gain practical skills that turn innovative ideas into actionable impact.

This isn’t just another entrepreneurial program – it’s your launchpad to become a next-generation entrepreneur who knows how to harness technology for meaningful change!

Details

At GESS, you will work in international and interdisciplinary teams on region-specific problems to develop your own idea that presents both a sustainable impact on society and a self-sustaining, profitable business model. Throughout GESS, your team will be partnered with a coach who will provide you with feedback and assistance on any technical questions, like how to test your idea with the community on-site. A series of interactive input sessions by renowned entrepreneurs will provide you with the complementary knowledge.

At the end of the course, you and your team will pitch your idea to a wide public audience – and you should definitely not miss the celebration afterwards!

This year, GESS will take place in three locations:

  • Shanghai, China: 9 to 15 August (arrival and departure days: 8 and 16 August)
  • Munich, Germany: 12 to 18 September (arrival and departure days: 11 and 19 September)
  • Querétaro, Mexico: 14 to 20 September (arrival and departure days: 13 and 21 September)

An Alumni Summit is expected to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, at the end of 2025.
