The purpose of the ITC Internship programme is to:
- provide students from diverse academic backgrounds with the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in the area of trade-related technical assistance aimed to expand their academic, professional and personal learning;
- gain exposure and real world insights to working in an international environment and the chance to build valuable business networks;
- gain experience in the work of ITC and deepen their knowledge and understanding of ITC’s goal and mission;
- provide ITC with the assistance and enthusiasm of outstanding young students in various professional fields;
- Bring novel perspectives, new ideas and fresh insights and specialised strengths and skill sets to ITC workplace.
How to apply
Please ensure that your application is complete before submission as incomplete applications will not be considered. You will be requested to upload a CV and a completed proof of enrolment form, signed and stamped, by your university/educational institution. Your application will remain active for six months. Eligibility Criteria:
ITC may accepts applicants to the Internship programme provided the following conditions are met at the time of application:
- Be enrolled in the second or final academic year of the first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
- Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Applicants should have a good command of English or French.

Cost/funding for participants
Interns are not paid. The cost of travel and arrangement, personal insurance and accommodation, as well as living expenses, are the responsibility of interns.
Interns are responsible for obtaining the necessary entry visa and arranging their travel to Geneva.
ITC accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during the internship.
