THE CONTEST
Whether talking about sets or graphic animations, design is an essential component for TV Series.
From the space in which the characters move, be it physical, metaphorical or virtual, to the objects they interact with, to the typography and graphic animations: everything is part of the visual narrative. Graphic, narrative or symbolic elements are carefully orchestrated to create a coherent and immersive experience.
From the country atmospheres of Bridgerton, to the regal settings of The Crown, many sets then are true masterpieces that tell stories through spatial design and objects.
Characterizations can be so impactful so to influence the personal choices of users or create real trends in furniture, such as the return to the Y2K aesthetic or the passion for luxury outdoor seating inspired by The White Lotus.
Architectural Digest and Istituto Marangoni Milano Design call on future students and aspriring designers from all over the world to reflect on this combination and give back their own interpretation of it.
Participants are asked to submit one of the following documents:

A short video (maximum duration 120 seconds);

A visual moodboard (A3 format, digital or paper, containing images, colours,
materials and references).
Images can be created using any representative technique, including digital illustrations, freehand drawings, collages or using AI tools.

THE SCHOLARSHIP
Istituto Marangoni Milano Design offers the opportunity of a deduction on the tuition fee (the enrolment fee is always due) as follows:
- Up to 15.000€ (5.000€ per each year of the course) for three-year undergraduate courses
- Up to 10.000€ for One Year Intensive courses and Master courses
- Up to 5.000€ for Foundation courses.
