​​Kooba is growing and we are on a look out for a Graduate Frontend Developer to join our team.

As a Frontend developer, you will use your knowledge of Frontend coding standards, modern and accessible HTML, SCSS/CSS, and functional javascript to build the highest quality websites that work across every device and browser. We're looking for someone whose creativity and extreme attention to detail is visible in everything they build.

You'll join a team of passionate colleagues who work hard to deliver the best results for our clients and exceptional experiences for their users.

In this role, you will:

  • Take Figma designs and collaborate with the frontend team to transform them into stunning, pixel-perfect interfaces.
  • Build responsive, mobile-first layouts without the use of a grid
  • Work closely alongside our designers and backend developers, take and give direction, and contribute your ideas
  • Build websites that are fast, accessible and deliver great user experiences on all devices

Description of Ideal Candidate

We want someone who:

  • Has recently graduated (within the last 2 years)
  • Holds a NFQ level 6 qualification
  • Has some sample/project work that you're proud to show off
  • Has knowledge of HTML, CSS (SCSS & BEM) and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Has experience using build tools, like Webpack, Rollup, Vite or Gulp
  • Takes a component-based approach when building websites and knows the benefits of doing so
  • Knows when and how to use Flexbox and CSS Grid, and doesn't depend on third-party toolkits like Bootstrap
  • Can follow deadlines and manage their time well
  • Keeps up to date with the latest web technologies and standards
  • Is fluent in English
  • Above all, is passionate about building the very best web experiences

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Astro JS, Next JS, Svelte or similar frameworks
  • Experience creating detailed but performant animations with code through CSS or JS packages such as GSAP
  • WebGL and/or Three.js skills
  • Knowledge of atomic design principles
