From January 2025, for 6 months, become part of the Sustainability team and help drive the implementation of our strategic roadmap across the company. Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support our Sustainability efforts at SMG group level:
- Join project management efforts to support sustainability initiatives by coordinating stakeholders, tasks, timelines, and resources to meet objectives on time
- Work with internal teams to collect, validate, and maintain our sustainability data ecosystems (and associated documentation)
- Draft materials to communicate key sustainability data and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date on sustainability trends, best practices, the regulatory environment, and disclosure frameworks and standards
- Contribute to identifying and articulating the connection between sustainability (initiatives) and business benefits, including economic advantages
- Support the increase of awareness on sustainable topics among employees

Description of Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- You have a degree in environmental engineering, economics, or social or natural sciences, ideally with a focus on sustainability, sustainable finance, climate economy, circular economy or similar
- You have a genuine interest in sustainability and are informed about recent evolutions in the broader sustainability/ESG landscape (both regulatory and in business). Ideally, you have some practical experience in that field and are knowledgeable about key frameworks, including the GHG Protocol, TCFD, and GRI standards, among others
- You have an analytical mindset, a strong business acumen and enjoy working with complex data by bringing structure and analysis to derive meaningful insights for the business
- You can communicate complex topics and create an attractive story to engage all colleagues and stakeholders and to help business leaders understand the importance of ESG
- You are a team player and enjoy collaborating with others
- Fluency in English a must, German considered a plus
