Overview

The Summer School’s University Programme is a unique opportunity for university students and graduates from all over the world to discover Sciences Po over the course of a summer on our Paris campus. In 2020, the programme hosted almost 450 students, representing 60 different nationalities and a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds.

Details

The programme is held in two separate sessions during the months of June and July.  Students have the choice to attend one or both sessions. In 2025, the programme dates are:

  • Immersive Programmes in May: May 19th - May 30th, 2025
  • June session: June 2nd - June 27th, 2025
  • July session: July 1st - July 25th, 2025

The University Programme offers two academic tracks in social sciences and French language. Both tracks are available during each session of the Summer School. In addition to their core social sciences or French courses, students may choose to expand their curriculum by adding an elective course for an additional cost.

Application timeline and deadlines

The University Programme has rolling admissions; the admission jury meets regularly and candidates may expect to receive a response approximately two to three weeks after submitting a complete application.

Courses are open to admitted students on a first-come, first-served basis and will be closed when they are full.  Candidates are therefore encouraged to apply in advance to ensure availability in their first-choice class, if they are admitted. Please note that several courses offered in Summer 2020 were closed after reaching maximum enrolment and not all admitted candidates were able to choose their first-choice class.
