About the Role

  • Our Procurement Sustainability team, composed of a 2 dedicated group of professionals, is integrated within the broader BSA Procurement Performance department. We focus on driving sustainable procurement practices and achieving Solvay's ambitious sustainability goals in collaboration with our suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • As a Procurement Sustainability Analyst Trainee, you will work on supporting sustainable procurement targets, improving Corporate Social Responsibility policies, and facilitating supplier sustainability assessments. You will get the opportunity to contribute to Solvay's overall sustainability strategy and have a positive impact on our environmental and social performance.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Supporting sustainability approach across the Procurement organization to meet Solvay ambitions. This involves assisting in the implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives within procurement.
    • Leading campaigns for Supplier 3rd party assessments (Ecovadis) and TfS audits. This includes managing the process of supplier evaluations and ensuring compliance with sustainability standards.
    • Reporting Corporate Social Responsibility progress of the procurement teams. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key performance indicators related to procurement sustainability.
    • Supporting the buyers for the supplier onboarding process on Ecovadis. This involves providing guidance and assistance to buyers in integrating sustainability criteria into supplier selection.
    • Deploying the Human rights due diligence policy. This includes ensuring that human rights considerations are integrated into procurement practices.
    • Participating in Together for Sustainability workstreams and developing new initiatives according to Group needs. You will contribute to collaborative efforts with the Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative and develop innovative solutions to address sustainability challenges.
  • We offer an internship contract (6 to 12 months) based on a hybrid working mode, starting in April,May or June.

About You

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Sustainability or ongoing study, Procurement, Bioscience, Science, Economics or Chemistry
  • Knowledge related to sustainability and/or procurement is a plus.
  • Competencies:

    • Adaptability to shifting business needs.
    • Good presentation & communication skills.
    • Digital and creative mindset.
    • Organizational & Planning skills.
    • English required both verbally and written.Another language is a plus.
