Are you thinking to apply to one of our master degree courses? ou would be pleased to know that, if you do it within 31 May 2025, you could be entitled to receive one of the 60 scholarships or one of the 100 enrolment fee exemptions destined to the best international students among the 10% of the best ones of each study area.
In line with its internationalization strategies for increasing incoming mobility and attractiveness to foreign students, the University of Milan gives its international students the possibility to be offered scholarships and exemptions from tuition fees.
Details
Due to the success of the Excellence Scholarship programme, established last year, the University of Milan has decided to increase the number of both the enrolment fee exemptions and the scholaships (consisting of 6.000 euro each, plus enrolment fee exemptions).
The incentive programme does not require any further application beyond the online procedure that candidates to our master degree programmes have to undertake.

Description of Ideal Candidate
- Admission to a Master programme is open to graduates who have at least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- To obtain the qualification (master degree) it is necessary to accumulate 120 credits (60 for each year of the course).
"Excellence Scholarships" are awarded by an ad-hoc Commission among all those who applied for admission to a Master's degree programme by 31 May 2025.
You don't have to apply. In July, the beneficiaries will receive a formal email confirming the grant.

Excellence scholarships
For academic year 2025/2026, 160 incentives are available to the best international students admitted to a Master's degree programme, of which:
- 60 scholarships worth € 8,000 each, with the right to exemption from the all-inclusive tuition fee
- 100 total exemptions from the all-inclusive tuition fee
The grants contribute to the constitution of total income and are subject to Irpef taxation since they are assimilated to employee income (Article 50, paragraph 1, letter c) of the TUIR).
