Job Description

In this position, you will join a committed team of global mobility experts focused on all tax questions of German and international tax law. We offer a wide range of tax services to our clients and their employees.On the one hand we are helping our clients to manage their global mobility population e.g. with the organization and implementation of the respective secondments. This could also include implementation of shadow payrolls or answering questions on several tax issues like stock option plans or permanent establishments.

On the other hand we are preparing German tax returns (income tax, value added tax, inheritance tax) for our clients, we formulate objections against assessments, submit various requests and are in contact with our clients and the tax office on a daily basis. You will learn to recognize issues in related areas of law and work on these together with our experts. A future-oriented organization with the use of technology solutions round off your area of responsibility. Comprehensive support - Accompanied by an experienced mentor, you will be involved in client and project work right from the start, which will be  a good preparation for the tax consultant exam. This includes attractive training opportunities, such as local and international specialist courses, soft skills training, etc.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintaining regular and effective communication with clients, addressing queries and providing guidance to support their tax and tax related needs.

  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.

  • Managing client relationships and acting as a point of contact for our clients.

  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Qualifications 

  • You have successfully completed a degree in economics or law with a tax focus.

  • Initial practical experience in the field of expatriate taxation as part of an internship or previous professional training, you can score additional points.

  • We are impressed by your ability to think analytically and conceptually as well as your ability to grasp things quickly and your willingness to teamwork.

  • You enjoy dealing with complex tax issues and advising clients on various topics is also a pleasure. 

  • Thanks to your strong written and verbal communication skills and good command of English, you are confident in an international working environment.

  • You thrive in a client facing role and have excellent communication skills.

  • You are used to working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.

  •  You have genuine interest in the global mobility field.
