The South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) will consider unsolicited proposals from Masters and PhD students looking to do work on Africa's engagement with the world.
These exchanges generally need to be self-funded.
Applications for visiting internships must include the following:
Full CV which demonstrates clear alignment with SAIIA’s research themes;
Full academic transcripts;
Proposal for the work to be undertaken while based at SAIIA;
Letter of endorsement from existing university/institution.
Further, applications must clearly indicate the period for which the internship is sought. Generally such internships are for a period of one to three months.
