Environment

In Volkswagen's development department, we are responsible for the translation management of development documentation and the coordination and maintenance of terminology. Become a full member of our team and gain insight into all processes related to terminology and translation management, e.g. terminology work with Quickterm, translation with Trados Studio, quality assurance according to SAE J2450.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Integration of separate glossaries and lists of abbreviations from development departments into our terminology pool as a helpful source of research

  • Research to find suitable glossaries

  • Matching content with existing terminology database entries

  • Creating additional information with valuable entries

Qualification requirements

  • Students in the field of technical translation, terminology in English and German or comparable fields of study

  • At least 4 semesters in a degree program

  • Good to very good academic performance

  • Knowledge of the use of CAT systems (Quickterm, SDL MultiTerm) desirable

  • Experience in the field of terminology work desirable

  • Technical understanding
